About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Surveyor to join our team at Hundred Houses Society. As a Property Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services to our customers and contributing to the society's future improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveys and inspections of our properties to identify any issues or defects.
  • Manage the general condition of our properties and make recommendations for planned or cyclical maintenance.
  • Ensure contractors and suppliers perform to specification and contractual terms.
  • Compile tender/contract documentation for responsive repairs, repairs to empty homes, and planned works.
  • Work within authorized budgets and to agreed quality standards.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours rota and provide support to the out-of-hours service provider as required.
  • Work with the Compliance Manager, Head of Property, and colleagues to ensure all necessary service visits are undertaken.
  • Deliver high standards of customer care, respect of others, inclusion, and diversity to all.
  • Proactively ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of colleagues, customers, and self, complying with relevant legislation, regulation, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the Data Protection requirements, complying with relevant legislation, regulation, policies, and procedures.
  • Understand and relate to Hundred Houses Society's core values.
Requirements
  • HNC or HND in Building Surveying, or training to this qualification or an equivalent.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of property surveying and building construction.
  • Experience and knowledge of contract management and Construction Health and Safety.
  • Awareness and knowledge of property-related legislation, including planning laws and the restrictions of working in a conservation area.
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of setting up technical specifications for tendering contracts.
  • 5 GCSEs A-C including English and Maths or equivalent.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £39,500 plus car allowance and enhanced pension, 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
