We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nursing professional to join our team as a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and support to staff within the Emergency Department, ensuring effective day-to-day management and delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, staff engagement, and departmental efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior nursing leadership to drive quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and growth.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental plans and objectives.
- Registered Nurse with extensive experience in the Emergency Department, preferably at Band 6 level or equivalent.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring staff.
- Strong knowledge of quality improvement principles, patient safety, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
