Job Title: Part-Time Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil with challenging and complex needs on a 1:1 basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN and effective behaviour management strategies, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement personalised care and education plans and follow EHCPs effectively to meet the needs of the pupil.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages independence and personal growth, enabling the pupil to reach their full potential.
  • Utilise effective communication strategies to build rapport and trust with the student.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a SEN TA in school or similar role with relevant experience.
  • Understanding of SEN and effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students.
  • Compassionate, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Confident and resilient personality.
