HGV Class 1 / HGV Class 2 / 7.5 Tonne Vehicle Recovery Operator
Class 1 Salary: £37,250
Class 2 Salary: £35,700
7.5 Tonne Salary: £34,200
Work Schedule: 4 Week fixed shift pattern, 6 days on, 3 days off

With over 27 years of experience, we have consistently invested in enhancing and expanding our fleet of recovery vehicles, making us one of the largest providers in the region.
Who We Are Seeking:
Due to an increase in workload and opportunities for internal advancement, we are currently looking for HGV Class 1, HGV Class 2, and 7.5 tonne vehicle recovery operators to join our esteemed team, assisting with the recovery of various vehicles across the country.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and hardworking individual with a friendly demeanor, capable of delivering excellent customer service. You should maintain a professional appearance and embody a positive attitude.
Your Responsibilities:
- Receiving assignments via phone or a portable device
- Operating a rigid vehicle to recover cars, vans, and machinery
- Responding to breakdowns or traffic incidents
- Depending on your experience, you may perform some roadside repairs
- Transporting vehicles and assisting customers as needed
- Completing necessary documentation, job sheets, and condition reports upon arrival
Requirements:
- A valid HGV Class 1, Class 2, or 7.5 tonne driving license is mandatory
- Experience in vehicle recovery is preferred but not essential
- Mechanical knowledge and qualifications are advantageous but not required
- Professional and tidy appearance
- Strong customer service skills
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced Police/DBS check (a contractual requirement due to the nature of the work)
