Venn Group is seeking an experienced Environmental Protection Team Manager to join our client's team on a hybrid basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental health and protection, with experience in a similar role, ideally in local government or a regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support contaminated land, air quality, private water supplies, and regulation of industrial processes
- Investigate statutory nuisance complaints and pollution-related anti-social behaviour
- Advise planning and licensing teams
- Conduct inspections, investigate complaints, and take appropriate actions
- Prepare reports and participate in council meetings
- Qualifications: Relevant degree in Environmental Health or related field preferred
- Experience: Experience in a similar role, ideally in local government or regulatory environment
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of contaminated land, air quality, private water supply and pollution control
- Organisational Skills: Strong time management and ability to manage varied workload
