Position Summary:


We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Psychologist to provide services on a temporary locum basis for an initial period of three months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and needs.

In this role, you will be instrumental in conducting clinical assessments, delivering patient care, and supporting educational initiatives for children.

This position involves working within a low secure Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) framework, with the potential for Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) involvement as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Design and execute individualized treatment strategies for clients
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care
  • Offer counseling and emotional support to patients and their families

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in clinical research methodologies
  • Skilled in various patient care approaches
  • Experience with pediatric populations and individuals on the autism spectrum
  • Familiarity with special education frameworks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capacity to function effectively within a team-oriented environment
