Job Summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to oversee and troubleshoot daily manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement in areas such as scrap reduction and productivity increases while minimizing cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and troubleshoot daily manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production and minimize waste.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new manufacturing methods and processes.
  • Lead capital projects from conception to completion, including machine selection, cell layout, financial justification, and installation of equipment.
  • Compile project update reports and present to management on project timeline, budget, and estimated completion dates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Knowledge of fabrication and welding processes, including 2D CNC cutting, plate bending, 3D CNC processing of structural steel, and automation.
  • Proven experience as a manufacturing or process engineer in a medium to heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in a low volume/high mix environment.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD required, 3D modeling (Inventor or SolidWorks) a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated success in justification of capital projects.
