Manufacturing Process Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support a regulated manufacturing business in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to implement manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities, ensuring seamless operations.
- Evaluate current production activities and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain accurate Work Instructions for all manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Create, update, and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support production planning.
- Establish manufacturing methods for new and development vehicles, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Conduct and maintain updates of all manufacturing process risk assessments, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including material suppliers and process methods.
- Raise and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to reflect changes in manufacturing processes.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with Health and Safety (H&S) requirements, minimizing risks and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Previous experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (at least 3 years).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology and its application in improving manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Process Performance Analysis (PPAP), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Firm understanding of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and its application in optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and their implementation in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety (HSE) and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
- Ability to navigate 3D and 2D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems.
