Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to support the Dispensary Manager in the provision of all operational aspects of the dispensary service at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all dispensary staff work to a high standard in providing quality pharmacy services to patients and other healthcare workers using the dispensary service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage the provision of all dispensary-based services, including inpatients, outpatients, and controlled drugs to agreed performance targets.
  • Manage the stock control in dispensary under the direction of the Dispensary Manager, ensuring the efficient use of all resources, keeping waste to a minimum and encouraging the re-use of medicines when appropriate.
  • Ensure that all staff have received appropriate training for the tasks that they are required to complete, including competency assessments.
  • Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
