Job Description:

Job Title: Trade Sales Development Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Trade Sales Development Manager to join our team at Travel Trade Recruitment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to acquire new trade sales partnerships and grow our existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive trade sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand our market share.
  • Identify and pursue new trade sales opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers and negotiating partnerships.
  • Work closely with our product team to develop and launch new commercial offerings that meet the needs of our trade partners.
  • Provide training and support to our trade partners to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to sell our products effectively.
  • Develop and implement agent fam trip visits and agent incentive plans to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and provide regular feedback to the business on how to improve and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Work with our product team to identify new trading opportunities and bring them to life.
  • Grow a team of account managers over time, allowing for UK coverage and eventually an international team.
  • Develop the technical requirements for B2B partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a trade relationship/sales role within the travel industry, specifically within the touring sector.
  • Excellent relationships with various travel agencies.
  • Understanding of commercial models of trade distribution.
  • Proven experience of managing at least one person.
  • Proficiency in digital business tools (Excel, Word, Google, etc.).
  • A self-starter with a driven and autonomous approach.
  • Ability to set daily tasks and prioritize efficiently.
  • Excellent relationship management skills using all forms of communication.
  • Ability to write engaging emails with perfect spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Friendly, warm, and welcoming personality, with a strong focus on people skills.
  • Motivated by long-term targets and a salary plus bonus.

  • Salary £40,000 - £55,000.
