Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Abuse Intervention Specialist to join our team at Spirehouse Recruitment. As a key member of our Children & Young People service, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to young people aged 8-25 struggling with substance use.

The Role:

You will be responsible for assessing, care planning, and intervening with a caseload of young people to reduce the negative impacts of drugs and alcohol on their education, employment, and overall well-being. Your expertise will also involve delivering psychosocial interventions to families and supporting young people with familial substance use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a trauma-informed approach to support young people
  • Work with youth support teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care
  • Engage with schools, homes, communities, and family centers to promote positive outcomes
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to reduce substance use and its consequences

Requirements:

  • Driving License and access to a vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS (preferably on the update service)

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum, full-time hours (35 hours per week), and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
