Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and participate fully in school activities.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Support the preparation of learning materials and assist with classroom resources, ensuring that students have the tools they need to learn.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards learning, with a strong understanding of the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • A strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
