About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at First Bus. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our public service vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing, and repairs in accordance with First Bus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures.
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation and group policies.
  • Maintain and develop technical skills as required.
  • Work a 5-day out of 7 rotating shift, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements

  • A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (e.g. City & Guilds Level 1&2).
  • Ability to multi-skill within an engineering environment.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Aptitude to develop others within the engineering team.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues and superiors.
  • Desirable: PCV licence, ability to obtain PCV licence essential.
