Job Overview

We are seeking a Fund and Product Operations Associate within our LGIM division focusing on Real Assets. This role is essential in supporting the Fund and Product Operations Lead in the strategic planning and execution of new investment funds and products in the Real Assets domain. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that these funds and products are established and managed efficiently, adhering to the target operational framework while prioritizing scalability, efficiency, and control measures to promote the growth of Legal & General's Private Markets division. Collaboration with Change colleagues within LGIM GCOO is critical for the timely launch of new funds and products, ensuring a cohesive approach and the adoption of best practices in operational design.

Key Responsibilities: Support the Fund and Product Operations Lead and the Product, Solutions, and Real Assets Strategy team in meeting growth targets for Real Assets and Private Markets. This includes assisting in the design and implementation of scalable and efficient operational frameworks for new funds and products, addressing all stakeholder needs, and managing vital relationships throughout the process. Assess the implications of regulatory, tax, and other market developments on both existing and new products. Ensure that relevant governance and agreements, including process documents and legal service level agreements with outsourced service providers, are updated as necessary to reflect changes in operational models. Regularly review the appropriateness of the target operational model, working with the Change team to implement updated and improved procedures, processes, and systems as required, in line with industry-leading practices. Engage with investment and risk teams, as well as other stakeholders, to understand their requirements, risks, and best practices, ensuring their adequate incorporation. Ensure the implementation of governance procedures, considering local regulations and advice received. Assist in the coordination and smooth execution of launch board meetings. Provide support for the onboarding of new third-party service providers at LGIM, including sharing details on financial processes, invoicing procedures, and other operational necessities to ensure that all required contracts, certifications, and compliance forms are accurately completed by the new service providers. Drive the creation of service level agreements with new service providers and establish appropriate KPIs to facilitate ongoing monitoring of service levels.
Qualifications: Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent). Relevant technical and operational knowledge/experience is required, such as experience with open or closed-ended investment funds and familiarity with corporate governance structures. Experience in operations and finance within alternative/real asset investment funds and products across Europe; experience specific to Luxembourg is advantageous. Resourceful with advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to provide solutions to arising issues.
