Sodexo is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at 30, Albion Street, Dewsbury. As a Cook, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting meals to residents while maintaining the highest standards of health, hygiene, and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prepare meals for residents, adhering to recipes and food safety guidelines.
- Ensure kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Manage food stock, check equipment, and monitor portion control.
- Collect routine data and perform daily checks, including temperature control.
- Report accidents, near misses, and damage to the Catering Supervisor.
- Ensure the Catering Department is opened and closed at the required times and secured when not in use.
- NVQ Level 2 in catering or relevant experience.
- 2 years of experience in hands-on cooking.
- Experience of working to strict food hygiene standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and cook a variety of cuisines.
