Thursday Cook

Sodexo is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at 30, Albion Street, Dewsbury. As a Cook, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting meals to residents while maintaining the highest standards of health, hygiene, and safety.

• Plan and prepare meals for residents, adhering to recipes and food safety guidelines.
• Ensure kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Manage food stock, check equipment, and monitor portion control.
• Collect and record routine data, including temperature control during production, preparation, service, and storage.
• Report accidents, near misses, damage, or breakages to the Catering supervisor.
• Ensure the Catering Department is opened and closed at the required times and secured when not in use.

• NVQ Level 2 in catering or relevant catering experience.
• 2 years of experience in hands-on cooking.
• Experience of working to strict food hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and cook a variety of cuisines.
