We are in search of Special Needs Assistants to provide essential support to children in primary education settings. This position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from £13 to £14, depending on your qualifications and experience. You will engage with children facing a range of special educational needs, such as Autism, ADHD, behavioral challenges, cognitive delays, global delay, Down syndrome, and hearing impairments. We strive to align your skills with the specific SEN requirements, ensuring you can make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare resources and activities tailored for one-on-one support based on individual needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and SENCO to design suitable activities.
  • Communicate with other professionals, including teachers and specialist support staff.
  • Work closely with fellow Learning Support Assistants and support personnel.
  • Provide assistance in classes, small groups, and on a one-to-one basis.
  • Monitor and assess the development of the pupil, fostering personal growth and confidence.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience working with young individuals.
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to engage and build rapport with children.
  • Creative, proactive, and adaptable support style.
  • Knowledge of special educational needs or learning difficulties.
  • Qualified Teaching Assistant (TA).
