Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Randstad Construction & Property. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in setting up the estimating function and working closely with the preconstruction, bid, design, and planning teams to produce high-quality tenders and bids.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify potential clients and projects, and conduct cost analysis to determine project feasibility
  • Produce bills of quantities and liaise with architects and engineers to ensure accurate estimates
  • Manage tender enquiries, negotiate with existing suppliers, and interview and appraise new contractors to support the delivery teams
  • Identify cost and programme savings opportunities and implement effective solutions
  • Utilize Conquest software packages to streamline estimating processes

Requirements

  • Excellent 1st principle estimating skills and experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities
