Hays Senior Finance is a leading recruitment agency specializing in senior finance roles. We are working with a luxury retail company in the UK to find an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join their team.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Accountant to join our client's finance team. As a Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with various departments to drive business growth and improvement
  • Ownership of the profit and loss account for cost centers
  • Managing monthly accruals and adjustments
  • Maintaining intercompany reconciliations
  • Monthly payroll adjustments for casual workers
  • Managing the clothing allowance schedule
  • Supporting budget holders across departments to prepare budgets and reforecasts
  • Leading a team of two direct reports, including an Assistant Accountant and Finance Assistant, to improve Accounts Payable KPIs
  • Supporting the wider finance team
  • Completing ad hoc tasks as required

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for the retail industry
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail or FMCG environment
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
