Job Title: Nuclear Safety Consultant

Job Summary:

Orano Projects Limited is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nuclear Safety Consultant to join our team. As a Nuclear Safety Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients in the production of safety cases and associated assessments for high-hazard category facilities and plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consultancy services that meet and exceed client expectations in terms of technical excellence, quality of deliverables, timescales, and cost.
  • Contribute to the safety cases and assessments for high-hazard category facilities and plants.
  • Produce all major elements of safety cases, including fault analysis and the identification and specification of safety systems.
  • Participate in the governance process, including responding to client, peer review, and safety committee comments.
  • Identify opportunities with clients and support the development of junior team members.

Requirements:

  • BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng in an engineering, science, or related field of study (preferably with a specialization in nuclear).
  • Basic understanding of the safety case production process and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with areas such as decommissioning, optioneering, best practice, human factors, radioactive materials transport, licensing, and radioactive waste.
