Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement nuclear safety strategies and plans to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  2. Lead the preparation of nuclear safety cases and supporting documentation, including hazard identification, fault analysis, and risk assessment.
  3. Liaise with engineering, plant operators, and other specialist safety disciplines to present coherent and comprehensive safety cases.
  4. Support clients in interaction with the regulator and maintain lasting relationships with clients.
  5. Manage teams of consultants to support project delivery and provide technical guidance and mentoring for more junior team members.
  6. Recognise opportunities for business and service development and support business and service development.

Your Skills and Experience:

  1. You will be a highly skilled and experienced nuclear safety consultant with excellent report writing skills and mentoring abilities.
  2. Deep expertise in nuclear safety techniques, including safety case production and management for all stages of plant lifecycle.
  3. In-depth knowledge of relevant UK regulations and standards.
  4. A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, e.g. Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control/Electrical Engineering.
  5. Sufficient and appropriate post-graduate relevant experience.
  6. Proven leadership skills and excellent customer service manner with strong listening and interpersonal skills.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills and flexible in approach to support effective delivery.
