About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Technician to join our team at the Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS. As a key member of our Trauma and Orthopaedic Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as a Trained Orthopaedic Technician within a team of technicians delivering a service to Trauma and Orthopaedics, A&E, UCC, Wards, Theatres, and other departments across the Trust.
  • Provide direct and indirect care at a high level for patients in the Fracture/Orthopaedic/Paediatric Clinics, Wards/Theatres, and other areas of the Trust.
  • Develop and maintain a broad theoretical and practical knowledge base to deliver exceptional care to patients requiring application of casts and splints.

Requirements

  • British Orthopaedic Association Casting Certificate
  • Literacy, Numeracy, and ICT GCSE A-C or equivalent
  • Understanding of knowledge and skills required to develop self and team members
