Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lodge Porter/Receptionist to join our team at St John's College University of Oxford. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a professional front-of-house service, assisting with daily operations, and ensuring the smooth running of the College Lodge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily operations of the College Lodge, including provision of a professional front-of-house service.
  • Support the Lodge Manager with fault and incident reporting, site security, and control of site access.
  • Provide a wide range of tasks, including IT system support and Microsoft Office application use.
  • Work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays, with a flexible attitude towards working hours.
  • Attend College at short notice and possess a first aid certificate and SIA-approved door supervision and manned guarding certificates.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, communications, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure. They will be a competent user of IT systems and applications, particularly Microsoft Office applications.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £34,029.36 per annum (equivalent to an hourly rate of £15.58) pro-rata for part-time staff, as well as a range of benefits and a commitment to ensuring equality of opportunity for all.
