Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Claims Handling team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the Hastings Direct goal to become a market-leading home claims handling function. This will involve setting and managing annual and monthly objectives, providing coaching and development plans to support ongoing progression, and ensuring annual PDRs are conducted.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Hastings Direct goal to become a market-leading home claims handling function
  • Set and manage annual and monthly objectives, providing coaching and development plans to support ongoing progression
  • Ensure payments are authorised in line with our departmental SLAs and oversee guidance and advice in respect of technical referrals
  • Conduct regular monthly audits on colleagues
  • Engage and motivate the team, delivering effective meetings
  • Support the overall quality of claims handling internally and by outsourced partners
Requirements
  • Previous leadership experience, preferably in claims or home claims
  • Strong customer and colleague focus
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
