Position Overview:

Carmichael UK is in search of a skilled Construction Site Manager with expertise in Earthworks. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Driving License and have access to a vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Construction Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the construction strategy. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating kick-off meetings and preparing essential pre-commencement documentation, including Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, and Construction schedules.
  • Collaborating with the Project Manager to effectively allocate labor, machinery, materials, and temporary structures to meet project standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Overseeing the site engineering team, ensuring their performance and professional growth.
  • Coordinating construction operations to ensure compliance with contract specifications and maintaining the highest standards of safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ).
  • Assisting in the development of project schedules, progress reports, resource allocation, and financial forecasting, as well as conducting site measurements and material reconciliations.
Candidate Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A HNC/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven knowledge and practical experience in Site Engineering activities, coupled with strong construction supervision skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in Earthworks projects.
  • Relevant certifications, including SMSTS and CSCS (White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager, or Gold – Supervisor).
  • A full driving license.
