Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabric Maintenance Specialist to join our team at DFS Furniture LTD. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximise productivity through proactive maintenance and reduce downtime.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks on manufacturing sites, ensuring all machinery and equipment is in a safe working condition.
  • Provide support and training to engineering apprentices and ensure regulatory and statutory inspections are completed.
  • Manage contractors on site and update spare part inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Provide detailed reports on maintenance, breakdowns, and incidents, and conduct risk assessments and develop SSOW.
Requirements
  • Hold a full driving license and be willing to travel to all manufacturing sites in the company vehicle.
  • Have 5+ years' experience in a maintenance role and hold relevant qualifications, including NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical and minimum level 2 in the opposite discipline.
  • Hold C&G Initial and periodic electrical inspection and testing qualifications and have strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Be adaptable and flexible, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
