Position Overview:

Within the Central Technology Group, our team comprises a wide array of engineers focused on all facets of System on Chip (SoC) architecture.

This role offers the opportunity to make significant contributions daily by addressing complex technical challenges in advanced handheld devices. You will engage in intricate development tasks to initiate projects, conduct advanced proof-of-concept evaluations, and serve as a technical leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering leadership and product strategy teams to formulate a technology roadmap.
  • Convert technology specifications into platform architecture, integrating hardware, software, tools, and additional components.
  • Proactively engage with Arm's architecture and core technology teams to ensure a cohesive roadmap of architecture platforms and technology feature advancements that cater to the requirements of smartphones and large-screen computing SoCs.
  • Assess architecture proposals and internal/external intellectual property features, providing influential leadership across hardware, software, and platform divisions to unify all stakeholders around a shared vision of architecture and technology evolution.
  • Represent Arm with high technical authority in client discussions, effectively incorporating feedback.
  • Create high-level architecture documentation as necessary to empower engineering teams in designing and validating platforms for Client market segments, including smartphones, large-screen computing, and embedded/home devices.
  • Design experiments and analyses to resolve architectural inquiries, and innovate, develop, or lead the creation of simulators, models, profilers, and other essential tools to facilitate these analyses.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in smartphone/tablet SoC architecture or a related field.
  • Strong technical expertise and credibility.
  • Proven ability to drive advancements in uncertain environments.
  • Collaborative and influential across various organizations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required; a Master's or PhD is highly preferred.
