Exciting Opportunity for a Piping Calculations Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Piping Calculations Engineer to join our team at the forefront of innovative solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the meticulous design oversight of a large piping network, spanning over 100 kilometers, which forms the backbone of the Nuclear Island.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the integrity of the pipe network design and its supporting structures by performing detailed piping calculations.
  2. Assess HVAC and electrical supports for various load scenarios, including dead weight, thermal expansion, and seismic activity.
  3. Experience with finite element analysis software.
  4. Knowledge of Python programming is advantageous for developing specialized tools.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. In-depth understanding of mechanical concepts, including modal and static analysis.
  3. Proficiency in mechanical simulations, particularly using finite element methods.
  4. Programming proficiency, especially in Python, for the development of computational tools.
  5. Experience with CAD software for design and modelling.
  6. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory compliance related to mechanical engineering.

About the Role:

The setting for the role involves risks and hazards in line with working on a nuclear licensed site, including nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gases, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, and high noise and vibration levels.
