Job Title: Associate Director- Development Transport Planning

About the Role:

Hup Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to lead our Development Transport Planning team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading private sector development projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, health, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Development Transport Planning projects, overseeing the preparation of Transport Statements and Assessments, Travel Plans, Environmental Statement Transport Chapters, and other reports.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, highway and transport authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare fee proposals and secure new commissions.
  • Support the growth of our Local Authority Development Management Service.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to develop a Development Transport Planning workload in London and the south-east of England.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Transport Planning or Civil Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professionally qualified (CTPP or CEng).
  • Excellent skill level and experience in Development Transport Planning.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Project Management expertise.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
  • Working knowledge of National Planning Policy, Local Planning Policy, highway standards, and design guidance.
  • Experience with relevant software packages, including Junction 9 and LINSIG.
  • Proficiency in design, including AutoCAD.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
