Job Title: Associate Director - Transport Planner

At Huphuphup, we are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our team as an Associate Director. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the delivery of transport planning projects.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing complex projects, leading the development and delivery of transport planning projects, and promoting development sites from site identification to planning application submission. You will also be involved in preparing transport statements, assessments, travel plans, and other supporting documentation.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client relationships to secure work and negotiate fee proposals
  • Manage work projects in line with client expectations and internal priorities
  • Manage and control project finances
  • Communicate with colleagues as appropriate
  • Continue to update personal knowledge of relevant technical, legal, and policy changes
  • Manage and develop colleagues within the project team
  • Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions
  • Maintain continuous professional development
  • Provide guidance on quality matters and technical issues
  • Seek to add value to all projects
About You

We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner with a thorough understanding of relevant planning and transport policy. You will have a degree in a related subject and significant experience in preparing Transport Statements and Assessments. You will also have experience of using LINSIG and ability to understand outputs, as well as knowledge of design standards and when and how they are used.

You will be able to work with minimal supervision and have a strong ability to use your own initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues, co-consultants, clients, and stakeholders.
