Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Food Safety Management in alignment with ISO 22000 standards.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments to implement SOPs through mentoring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Lead internal audits and coordinate external assessments to achieve optimal compliance scores.
  • Establish audit criteria to ensure adherence to ISO 22000 standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses to manage potential risks effectively.
  • Oversee the Hygiene Operating Manual and related documentation.
  • Manage the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) programs.
  • Foster a positive culture of Food Safety, health, and Hygiene across all business units.
  • Identify and analyze potential hazards and risks using ISO 22000 and HACCP methodologies.
  • Act as a liaison and advisor to relevant departments and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Support sites in achieving HACCP accreditation.
  • Streamline online training requirements, including audit visits.
  • Demonstrate understanding of stakeholder and risk management.
  • Assist in developing corrective actions and ensuring compliance in collaboration with business units.
  • Contribute to the creation of training materials and ensure compliance with Learning & Development standards.
  • Prepare documentation to support quality audits for ISO or HACCP.
  • Identify and report structural deficiencies in food operations related to safety and hygiene.
  • Manage and maintain an effective pest control system.
  • Address and resolve food-related complaints efficiently.
  • Lead the scheduling of preventive maintenance in collaboration with facilities management.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of management experience in an international hotel chain or airline catering sector at a managerial level.
  • Master's degree in microbiology or a related discipline.
  • Possess relevant certifications or accreditations for the UK.
  • Proficient in ISO 22000, the globally recognized standard that integrates ISO 9001 principles with food safety management and HACCP.
  • Experience in pre-opening or new project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in food science or Food Technology.
  • Familiarity with HACCP qualifications and practical experience from implementation to execution.
  • Strong skills in online training, on-the-job training, and coaching.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a strong analytical and data-driven approach.
  • Skilled in establishing clear objectives, organizing work effectively, and maintaining open communication with colleagues regarding work and results.
