We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join the team at Atlantis Medical Ltd. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to provide high-quality care and support to patients within a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

You will provide high-quality occupational therapy interventions to a wide variety of patients, including:

  • Advanced assessment and treatment of patients with complex conditions.
  • Provision of individual and group education and treatment programs.
  • Provision of assistive devices and equipment to enhance patient independence.
  • Minor structural home adaptations to promote safe and accessible living environments.
  • Complex disability management and advocacy services to support patients and their families.

This role sits within the clinical leadership team, working across various departments, including acute care, rehabilitation, and community services. You will have opportunities to develop your skills and expertise in a range of settings and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating a range of conditions, including neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular disorders.
  • Ability to detect and manage deteriorating patients, ensuring timely interventions and optimal outcomes.
  • Ability to risk assess patient assessment, treatment, and discharge, ensuring safe and effective care.
  • Ability to assess and treat motor and sensory skills, as well as physical functioning, to promote patient independence and mobility.
  • Ability to assess and treat cognitive and affective impairment, and its impact on function and the ability of the patient to maintain their health and safety.
  • Ability to structure holistic assessments and the occupational therapy process within a framework that provides clear clinical reasoning for recommendations made in relation to a patient's needs and care pathway.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and commitment to staying current with best practices in occupational therapy.
