Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to drive operational excellence
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, addressing issues, and positively impacting site performance
  • Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives and implement actions to improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Design and deliver initiatives across sites to enhance operational performance
A Day in the Life

You will lead shifts at one of our operational sites, serving as the key link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration teams. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching your team to achieve excellence.

About the Team

Amazon UK Services Ltd. relies on the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team to deliver at pace. As part of ATS, you will join a dynamic team that uses air, sea, and road transport, as well as sortation centers equipped with the latest technology, to drive Amazon's transport efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to inform decisions, making Amazon more innovative and efficient.

Requirements
  • A degree
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal skills and intermediate proficiency in the local language
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques, as well as experience working in a similar logistical environment, is preferred. Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment is also beneficial.
