Porter - Hospital Support

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Hospital Porter to join our team at Nuffield Health Oxford, The Manor Hospital. As a General Hospital Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital facilities, providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Manage waste streams, including clinical, domestic, recycling, and special waste.
- Conduct security checks, including early morning opening, evening lockdown, and ad-hoc checks.
- Control access to the basement car park.
- Manage patient transfers between departments.
- Manage internal and external post, including recording postal use by on-site third parties.
- Maintain the external environment to a high standard, including the basement car park.
- Move furniture, equipment, and medical gases to departments.
As a General Hospital Porter, you will work closely with our Head Porter and Facilities Manager to ensure that third-party facilities providers deliver to agreed levels of service. You will also contribute to creating a positive and supportive work environment, helping your colleagues feel valued and motivated.
