Location: York

Hours of Work: Minimum of 15 hours per week to work within an existing rota.

Rate of Pay: £16.50 per hour

We are seeking a caring and confident individual to support a young boy with quadriplegic cerebral palsy in his daily life. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide 2:1 care and support, enabling Max to participate in activities and reach his full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and support to Max
  • Assisting with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Supporting Max's communication needs, including using his communication device
  • Participating in activities that promote Max's physical and emotional well-being

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care-giving role, preferably with children
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide 2:1 care
  • Confidence in using communication devices and supporting individuals with complex needs
  • Flexibility to work on a job share basis and adapt to changing circumstances
