Senior Counsel, Apple TV Original Content

Apple's Original Content Legal team is seeking an experienced development and production attorney to provide legal support for the development, production, and licensing of Apple's original productions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scripted in-house productions and a mix of law firm and in-house experience.

About the Role

As a Senior Counsel, you will work closely with the senior legal counsel and business affairs partners on Apple's Original Content team to structure, negotiate, and draft agreements needed to develop, produce, and/or license Apple's original content. You will be responsible for providing legal counsel on development and day-to-day production matters for long-form streaming content across the EU.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing legal counsel on development and production matters for Apple's original content
  • Structuring, negotiating, and drafting agreements for the development, production, and licensing of Apple's original content
  • Reviewing chain of title and drafting and negotiating agreements to acquire source material
  • Working with production teams to ensure compliance with applicable collective bargaining agreements and production incentives
  • Providing guidance on UK clearance practices and IP laws affecting entertainment content

Requirements

  • Legal qualification to practice in the UK
  • Experience of providing extensive legal counsel for scripted in-house productions
  • Strong analytical capabilities and judgment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams and think practically with a focus on solutions
