MacGregor Black is currently collaborating with a Prominent Lifestyle Brand in search of a Lead Footwear Design Strategist. This position is a permanent opportunity.
This role presents a thrilling chance to influence the trajectory of the footwear line and play a pivotal role in the brand's achievements within the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and creation of all footwear lines, from initial concept to final product, ensuring a unified and inventive aesthetic.
- Perform comprehensive market analysis to remain at the forefront of industry trends and pinpoint opportunities for new product lines and designs.
- Guide and nurture a team of designers, promoting a collaborative and motivating work atmosphere.
- Collaborate with merchandising and production teams to ensure designs are commercially viable and align with corporate objectives.
- Present design ideas and collections to internal stakeholders and contribute to marketing and sales initiatives.
- Maintain robust relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to source premium materials and guarantee timely product delivery.
- Champion innovation and sustainability efforts within the design process, aligning with the brand's dedication to responsible fashion.
What are we looking for?
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in footwear design, emphasizing innovative and commercially successful collections.
- Demonstrated success in leading effective design teams and delivering commercially viable collections.
- Strong creative insight and ability to convert trends into market-ready products.
- Excellent technical proficiency, including a solid understanding of footwear construction.
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
- Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects concurrently.
