Director of Human Resources

Westgate Healthcare is in search of a Director of Human Resources to oversee and direct the HR operations and personnel strategy across our network of care facilities. As a distinguished, family-owned care home provider, we prioritize fostering a supportive workplace and recognizing the contributions of our staff.

We are looking for a passionate and creative professional who can autonomously manage the HR department while also engaging in strategic initiatives as necessary. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication abilities, robust IT proficiency, and a solid understanding of employment legislation.

The Director of Human Resources will be tasked with leading the HR team, partnering with care facilities, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. This position requires an individual who is meticulous, proactive, and capable of executing strategies that positively influence key performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the HR department and collaborate with the HR team, care facilities, and executive leadership
  • Manage recruitment processes, onboarding, performance evaluations, compliance audits, employee engagement initiatives, and more
  • Review essential HR procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Prepare reports for the board and spearhead projects as outlined by the executive team
Candidate Profile:
  • CIPD HR qualification (Level 7 preferred) or equivalent advanced HR certification
  • Proven experience in leading an HR department and delivering successful outcomes
  • Knowledge of employment law and a commitment to innovation and results
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
