About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Oakcroft House Care Home. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist with all aspects of nursing care and activities within the home.
  • Work closely with the team to create and update individual care plans for our residents, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medication records.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained within the home.
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to the team, promoting our residents' independence, choice, and dignity.
  • Build lasting relationships with residents and their families, as well as fostering a sense of community within the home.
  • Liaise with local partners to raise the care home's profile and promote our services.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid UK NMC pin and commit to ongoing professional development.
  • Understand the impact of quality nursing care on residents' lives and promote independence, choice, and dignity.
  • Stay up-to-date with tissue viability, infection control, and care planning.
  • Be an effective leader, able to build relationships, mentor, and manage a team.
  • Prioritize tasks efficiently and work as a compassionate team player.
