About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to join a secondary educational institution in Batley, West Yorkshire.
In this essential position, you will collaborate closely with students who encounter behavioral challenges, assisting them in developing effective coping mechanisms and improving their overall educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide individualized and group support to students facing behavioral difficulties.
2. Create and execute tailored support plans in partnership with educators and other professionals.
3. Monitor and evaluate student progress, modifying strategies as necessary to encourage positive behavior and academic achievement.
4. Cultivate a secure and inclusive atmosphere that promotes personal growth and development.
5. Communicate with parents and guardians to offer updates and strategies for ongoing support at home.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a role such as Behaviour Support Worker, Teaching Assistant, or a related field is preferred.
2. Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or social work are beneficial.
3. Strong understanding of behavioral management techniques and strategies.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students and staff.
5. A patient, empathetic demeanor and a sincere desire to positively impact the lives of young individuals.
