Job Summary

To drive sustainable improvement and organisational change, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement Lead to join our Quality Team. As a catalyst for developing a continuous improvement culture, you will ensure that appropriate tools, capacity, and capability are in place to support transformational change programmes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with the Quality Team and senior leaders to drive forward key elements of improvement activity, supporting requests for improvement activities, scoping events, and providing advice and support.
  • Develop and deliver a range of programmes that further build organisational capacity and capability, embedding quality improvement tools and techniques, sourcing expertise as required, and developing expertise in specialist areas.
  • Play a key role in the delivery of the Quality team's objectives, including appraising team capability, agreeing and developing plans to put in place a standard set of skills and tools, developing and implementing a sustainable improvement plan, and developing a repository of improvement work.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels within the organisation to identify quality improvement opportunities, sharing and spreading best practice and opportunities.
  • Lead specific programmes of work that support targeted improvement activities, lead improvement events directly aligned to the strategic objectives of the organisation, and coach and mentor staff undertaking continuous improvement training.
  • Prepare reports and case studies to demonstrate outcomes of improvement events, prepare presentations and award submissions in relation to continuous improvement, and promote this work through local and national forums.
  • Quality assure improvement programmes of work, ensuring alignment with Quality Improvement methodology is maintained.

Key Requirements
  • A recognised qualification in transformational change and improvement.
  • Masters level qualification or equivalent level of proven experience.
  • Significant experience in improvement methodologies, having taken on the role as lead facilitator in six or more improvement projects.
  • Engagement with multi-professional groups and staff at all levels.
  • Good presentation skills delivering improvement methodologies to large multi-professional groups.
  • Development of outstanding relationships, able to communicate effectively on issues in a variety of different ways.
