Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Station Technician to join our team at Buckie Lifeboat Station. As a Senior Station Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and operation of our lifeboats, as well as providing technical support to our volunteer crew members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the lifeboat is in good working condition and perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Provide technical support to volunteer crew members and conduct training sessions
  • Develop and implement quality, safety, and health procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team to ensure the smooth running of the Lifeboat Station

Requirements

  • Time served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical or electronic engineering
  • Knowledge and experience of marine diesel engines and lifeboat operations
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality
