Direct Medics is working in partnership with the HSCNI to find experienced and dedicated Band 8a, 8b, and 8c level Psychologists to fulfill long-term vacancies with the Trusts in Northern Ireland.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to patients and families, as well as offering advice and consultation on patients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to patients and families
  • Offer advice and consultation on patients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers
  • Work within a multidisciplinary care plan to provide comprehensive care to patients
Requirements:
  • Current HCPC registration as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
  • Post-graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS
  • Specialised experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment
