The role of Financial Operations Manager for Manufacturing is pivotal in collaborating with the CEO of GMA to oversee and report on the financial aspects of the company's manufacturing activities.

Core ResponsibilitiesMain Duties Include:
  • Oversight of Group Cash Flow forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Management of cash flow forecasts for GMA, enhancing Group reporting.
  • Ownership of the annual budgeting process along with periodic re-forecasting.
  • Management and reporting of working capital for the organization.
  • Accountability for the reporting and reconciliation of Work in Progress (WIP) and inventory.
  • Analysis and reporting of manufacturing expenses and operational efficiencies (e.g., Bill of Materials, Scrap, Labor inefficiencies).
  • Responsibility for the IFS System and driving process enhancements.
  • Development and reporting of Manufacturing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support the CEO.
  • Management of the vehicle handover process within IFS (Order to Cash), including invoicing and cash collection.
  • Ownership of the month-end process and preparation of reporting packs for GMA.
  • Finance business partnership with the CEO of GME and reporting at Operations Board Meetings.
  • Oversight of insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaboration with the CFO on the Group's strategic expansion initiatives.
  • Close cooperation with central group services to support operational functions.
  • Design and implementation of new processes and controls as the organization continues to grow.
  • Leadership of the Manufacturing Finance Team.
Managerial Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Manufacturing finance functions, including Accounts Receivable, Stock Control, and Systems Improvements.
  • Foster strong relationships within the team and support professional development through coaching and mentoring.
  • Set, support, and motivate team members to achieve both company and personal objectives through the performance development process.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions focused on team member development.
  • Manage daily team activities and ensure equitable workload distribution.
  • Plan and assess departmental activities, delegating as necessary.
  • Responsible for team resource management and collaborating with internal recruitment when needed.
  • Lead by example and manage conflict effectively.
  • Communicate goals clearly and share relevant information across the team.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Qualified Accounting designation (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ICAEW).
  • Strong foundation in finance and accounting principles.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Methodical and precise in work execution.
  • Able to engage with a diverse range of staff and external service providers.
  • Proven ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Organized, persuasive, resourceful, flexible, ambitious, and self-directed with a passion for achieving objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
