About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team of Orderlies in Emergency Medicine. As an Emergency Department Porter, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive portering and general support to the Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit.

Main Responsibilities
  • Transport patients to other wards and departments
  • Deliver supplies and equipment to various areas of the hospital
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of equipment and trolleys
  • Use the Lorenzo and whiteboard patient tracking systems
Requirements
  • GCSE level D English and Maths or equivalent experience/qualifications
  • Providing a service to the public/patients
  • Working in a team
Working Environment

You will be based predominantly within the Emergency Department at Northern General Hospital, supporting the Acute Medical Unit, surgical, frailty units, and S-DEC Unit. This is a full-time flexible role of 37.5 hours per week.
