About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compensation Analyst to join our team at Travelers Europe. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing competitive and cost-effective total compensation programs, practices, and solutions to drive a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise and consult with Human Resources Generalists and clients on compensation administration, policy interpretation, job design, turnover, equity, and other related matters.
  • Perform market pricing, job documentation, and evaluation, survey participation, and related data analysis, compensation program administration, planning, and execution in collaboration with the compensation team and HR Generalists.
  • Maximize the application of compensation tools to support business initiatives and compensation strategies.
  • Develop a solid knowledge of the assigned business area, studying and analyzing data, monitoring trends, and recommending enhancements and changes to ensure the retention, motivation, and recruitment of key personnel.
  • Provide guidance on compensation aspects of new hire offer packages, including base, bonus, and equity replacement valuation and considerations.
  • Prepare and analyze reports for senior leaders, including multiple HR metrics and analysis, to support performance and rewards decisions worldwide.
  • Assist business groups in developing new or revising existing job descriptions, ensuring the use of plain English and inclusive language.
  • Review draft job descriptions and provide input to ensure accurate job descriptions, job structuring, and organizational design issues.
  • Ensure HR team members and managers have the knowledge and tools needed to effectively manage performance and administer compensation consistent with company philosophy and goals.
  • Design and deliver compensation-related training to HR team members and managers.
  • Lead selected projects that are technically complex and/or sensitive, influencing decision-making processes and being a key contributor.
  • Prepare and analyze reports for the CEO and Head of HR, as well as the Board of Directors, to support the review of compensation action recommendations and ensure adherence to the company's pay-for-performance pay philosophy and approach.
  • Provide support as necessary to compensation lead and team members.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
  • Previous experience in a compensation role, with specific experience in job evaluation, role pricing, survey submission, data scrubbing, and provision of general HR metrics preparation and analysis.
  • Strong experience in pricing roles in different jurisdictions, multiple currencies, workforce planning, and preparing materials for senior leaders.
  • General experience with HR systems, such as PeopleSoft or Workday, and Cognos reporting software.
  • Intermediate analytical problem-solving, influencing, communications, leadership, and project management ability.
  • Intermediate written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced Excel, Word, and related software package skills, including the ability to create graphs, perform vlookups, and pivot tables.
  • CIPD qualification is preferred for this role.
