VAT Accountant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced VAT Accountant to join our team at Focus Resourcing Group. As a VAT Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client, a prestigious school, in all areas of finance, with a focus on tax and VAT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Finance and Operations and Finance Manager in improving financial processes and procedures.
  • Provide expert advice on VAT and tax matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial records, including VAT returns and tax calculations.

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA full or part-qualified, or qualified by experience with a specialism in VAT and Tax.
  • Proven experience in VAT and tax compliance, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
