Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Band 7 Team Lead for the Orthopaedic Therapy Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a dynamic team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Therapy Assistants across two sites.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operational management of the team, ensuring effective use of resources and delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Supervision and mentoring of junior staff members and pre-registration students.
  • Development and implementation of service improvements, in collaboration with the Orthopaedic Therapy Service Lead and Highly Specialist Therapists.
  • Assessment and treatment of complex patients across both elective and trauma services.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking therapist to develop and improve the service further. The successful candidate will work closely with the Service Lead, current Team Lead, and Clinical Specialists to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes.

Requirements
  • HCPC registration and degree/diploma in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience working at senior level in the NHS, with a strong background in trauma and orthopaedics.
  • Sound knowledge of interventions relevant to the clinical area and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
