Job Purpose

The Sous Chef will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards. This will involve working closely with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and safe working environment, managing stock levels, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  2. Manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  3. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  4. Manage stock levels, ensuring that all ingredients are ordered and stored correctly.
  5. Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and promotions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A strong understanding of kitchen operations and procedures.
  • The ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional food and service.
