Role Overview

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Event Operations Manager to join our dynamic venue management team, working closely with the Senior Event Manager.

In this role, you will guide and mentor venue coordinators, playing a pivotal role in enhancing our event management practices. Your innovative mindset will be essential in rethinking our approaches to ensure we consistently deliver top-tier events. The venue management team will oversee all aspects of event planning, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and venue policies while encouraging creative solutions.

On event days, you will collaborate with fellow managers to oversee operations from the control room, prioritizing safety and delivering an exceptional experience for both fans and performers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Senior Event Manager to promote operational excellence.

  • Assist in managing event budgets and expenses.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of licensing requirements.
  • Partner with internal departments to optimize the event experience.
  • Support the Senior Event Manager in developing security and event management strategies.
  • Ensure a memorable experience for fans and artists alike.
  • Manage accreditation processes for events.
  • Foster relationships with third-party service providers, including security and medical teams.
  • Implement effective incident management and crisis communication plans.
  • Uphold health and safety regulations and promote safe working practices.
  • Advocate for safeguarding policies to create a secure environment for all.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and work towards our carbon neutrality goals.

Required Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ in Spectator Safety qualification.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale events at a command level.
  • Knowledge of entertainment venue security and crowd management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence.

  • A proactive approach to health and safety management.
  • Results-oriented, driving success through teamwork.

  • Understanding of the Safety at Sports Grounds Guidance.
